An antique Japanese Ko Tansu (personal storage Chest) made from Kiri (Paulownia) and Sugi (Cryptomeria) woods. Negoro lacquer finish with hand forged iron hardware including the stylized Hirute handles. Unusual bespoke legs adds additional height to the tansu. It would make a great night stand or an elegant side table.
